Job Description
We are an emerging business specialising in the development of Agentic AI Agents and Software Solutions for a range of small to medium sized businesses. Our Information Technology division is at the forefront of innovation, developing intelligent solutions that optimise business operations, enhance safety, and drive digital transformation.
We’re seeking an experienced and innovative Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge agentic AI systems. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building autonomous agents, designing intelligent systems, and pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence in real-world applications.
You’ll work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and researchers to build scalable AI/ML solutions that power autonomous agents capable of reasoning, decision-making, and goal-directed behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain AI-driven full stack applications using Python or R and modern frameworks
- Work with AI services (Machine Learning, AI LLM’s) to build AI-powered solutions.
- Process and analyse large datasets to develop interactive AI Agents
- Develop chatbots and AI automation tools using LangChain or other frameworks
- Implement predictive analytics in dashboards
- Ensure secure and scalable deployment of Machine Learning models.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop custom AI solutions
- Design, develop, and optimise enterprise AI applications across multiple industries
- Lead performance optimization efforts for AI/ML-based applications.
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices.
- Define technical strategy and AI road-maps, integrating Cloud AI services into scalable solutions.
- Lead the implementation of AI/ML models, cloud-based automation, and predictive analytics.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and drive innovation in AI development.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or AI/ML roles, including 2+ years at a senior or lead level.
- Strong experience with Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Proven track record developing and deploying ML models and agent-based systems in production.
- Expertise in one or more areas: reinforcement learning, prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, symbolic AI, planning algorithms, vector databases.
- Familiarity with open-source agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, systems thinking, and a passion for building intelligent systems.
- Strong understanding of big data processing, analytics, AI automation, AI software development, cloud computing, and DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Nice to haves:
- Proficiency in AI/ML model deployment with Microsoft Azure AI services.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django for backend development.
- Experience with PySpark, Azure Data SDK, Pandas, and similar products.
- Experience with Power BI AI, Azure Synapse AI, and cloud-based AI deployments.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Agile development experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with business stakeholders to define AI solutions across industries.
- Strong background in security, scalability, and performance optimization. Experience with Google Cloud AI, AWS AI, NVIDIA AI tools.
